The Challenge

• Remote location, difficult access and a unique design
• Extensive use of eco-friendly materials, services and systems; prohibiting the use of PVCs, toxic glues, resins, plastic paints, pressed wood and fibreglass products
• The front wall is 8 metres wide and 8 metres high at the apex - requiring close liaison between the designer, engineers and builders

The Details

• Handcrafted cedar joinery (doors and windows)
• 280 square metres of hardwood flooring
• Inbuilt audio system

The Outcome

• Changes suggested by the owners, designers and ourselves were incorporated during the construction process
• Close liaison meant that there were no surprises
• The owners wanted a home that has excellent air quality, clean untainted drinking water, and very little electromagnetic radiation and fields
